"Day 1st :- Arrive at Leh :"
Arrival Leh by morning flight and transfer to the hotel.Full day for complete rest for acclimatization to the high altitude of Leh (11,500 ft / 35 00 mtrs).Overnight in hotel.
"Day 2nd :- In Leh ( City tour of Sham Valley )"
After leisurely breakfast, drive to visit 11th century Alchi Choskor, oldest surviving monastic heritage of Ladakh - a UNESCO listed heritage site. While returning to Leh from here, visit Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), Magnetic Point, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Kali Mata (Temple of Guardians in Spituk monastery) & Hall of Fame. Overnight in hotel.
"Day 3rd :- Leh - Nubra Valley."
After breakfast leave for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardong-la (alt: 18,380 ft). After descending from the pass, drive on for sightseeing of Sumoor area and Samstaling Gompa. Later check into a fixed camp in the same area or drive across to Deskit / Hundar for overnight in a fixed camp or hotel.
"Day 4th :- Nubra Valley Leh"
In the morning visit / explore Deskit , Hundar and the Sand Dunes where you can enjoy a short camel safari using the double-humped Bactrian camel found here (optional on direct payment). Later drive back to Leh reaching in the late afternoon / evening. Overnight at the hotel.
"Day 5th :- Leh-Pangong Lake."
Full day excursion to Pangong Lake (approx. 300 kms round trip, located on the Indo-China Border), enroute explore Shey and Thikse monastery. After crossing the Chang-la pass (alt: 17370 ft.). you will reach at Pangong Tso Lake and check in at your Camp. Enjoy the beautiful evening here and Overnight.
"Day 6th :- Pangong Tso -Tsomoriri / Korzok (15070 ft. / 220 kms.)"
After breakfast drive to Tsomo-riri Lake (alt: 15,000 ft.) driving through Chushul ( Restricted area permit required for Indian National. Foreign National are not allowed ) further drive to Mahe and Puga Sumdo. Tsomoriri Lake (28 km long & about 8 km wide) is the breeding ground of many migratory birds including the rare bar-headed geese. overnight in fixed camp or Guest House.
"Day 7th :- Tsomoriri-Tsokar-Taglangla-Leh (17582 ft.)-Leh-approx 200 kms) :"
After breakfast retrace the route down to Puga Sumdo and then follow the road across the Polokongka Pass (4920 mtrs) to visit Tsokar Lake, a salt lake system in the Rupsho plateau which is home of the Changa nomads and support many rare wild life species. After sightseeing of the area take the Manali-Leh road to return to Leh, crossing Taglang-la (alt: 17,585ft) en- route. Overnight in hotel.
